نادية مراد : صوت أهلنا في سنجار وروژآڤا يصل إلى الأمم المتحدة: دعوات دولية لحماية المدنيين وتأمين الإغاثة.

التقيت بالسفير مايك والتز، الممثل الدائم للولايات المتحدة لدى الأمم المتحدة، كما اجتمعتُ مع رئيس الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة وعدد من السفراء والقادة الدوليين، لبحث تطورات الوضع في سوريا وانعكاساته على المدنيين في العراق والمنطقة.

ونقلت مخاوف أهلنا في سنجار، والمناشدات الواردة من شمال شرق سوريا (روجافا)، مع التأكيد على ضرورة حماية المدنيين والأقليات في العراق وسوريا، ومنع اتساع رقعة الحرب والعمل على وقفها، بما يحفظ الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.

كما شددت على أهمية الحفاظ على الاستقرار في سنجار، وتأمين وصول المساعدات الإنسانية العاجلة إلى المناطق المتضررة، ولا سيما كوباني والحسكة، وتعزيز التنسيق بين وكالات الأمم المتحدة لضمان دعم فعّال وآمن للمدنيين.

ودعونا إلى تحمّل المجتمع الدولي مسؤولياته في منع الجرائم بحق المدنيين، خاصة النساء والأطفال، والتصدي للتهديدات الأمنية، بما في ذلك خطر سجناء تنظيم داعش، والحفاظ على المكاسب المتحققة في مواجهة الإرهاب.

I met with Ambassador Mike Waltz, the Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations, and also held meetings with the President of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as other friends and allies, to discuss developments in Syria and their repercussions on civilians in Iraq and across the region.

I conveyed the concerns of our people in Sinjar, along with appeals coming from northeast Syria (Rojava), stressing the urgent need to protect civilians and minorities in both Iraq and Syria, to prevent the expansion of the war, and to work toward halting it in order to preserve regional security and stability.

I also emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in Sinjar, ensuring the delivery of urgent humanitarian assistance to affected areas—particularly Kobani and Hasakah—and strengthening coordination among UN agencies to guarantee effective and safe support for civilians.

We called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to prevent crimes against civilians, especially women and children, to address security threats—including the danger posed by ISIS detainees—and to safeguard the gains achieved in the fight against terrorism.
